The EEK Procedure Standard (EPS): OEM Spec + Our Copyrighted Process
Every EEK job requires Manufacturer Specification (OEM Spec) and EEK Procedure Standard (EPS) (Policies §19). Here is what that means for insurers, customers, and workshops.
Two Standards, Both Required
When a vehicle leaves an EEK contractor workshop after misfuel recovery, water-in-oil remediation, pre-export drain, or vessel fuel work, two standards must both be satisfied:
- OEM Spec — the vehicle manufacturer's specification for tank access, towing limits, extraction method, and component handling (vehicles for each make and model).
- EEK Procedure Standard (EPS) — EEK's operational procedure for the job type, in Policies & Procedures §19 (accept → tow → extract → verify → dispose → invoice → release).
When Contractors Confirm
Contractors confirm both at job accept in the supplier portal (OEM page + procedure excerpt) and again when submitting their invoice (separate OEM Spec and EEK Procedure Standard (EPS) checkboxes). Portal timestamps create an audit trail.
