EEK Mechanical Achieves NZIFDA Tier 1 Compliant Operator Status
EEK Mechanical is proud to have achieved Tier 1 Compliant Operator status with the New Zealand Independent Fuel Drain Association — the highest standard of compliance in the misfuel recovery industry.
What Tier 1 Compliant Operator Status Means
NZIFDA's Tier 1 Compliant Operator certification is awarded to misfuel recovery operators who demonstrate full compliance with NZIFDA's standards for drain procedure, hazardous waste handling, workshop vetting, staff training, and documentation. It is the highest level of certification in the New Zealand misfuel recovery industry and is a prerequisite for filing on the National Misfuel Register.
What This Means for EEK Mechanical Customers
Every job coordinated through EEK Mechanical is now documented on the NZIFDA National Misfuel Register. This provides customers with third-party verified records of their disposal event — documentation that insurers increasingly require for claims involving contaminated fuel. Customers can access their disposal record via the EEK customer portal.
Our Commitment to the Standard
We achieved Tier 1 status through investment in our workshop vetting processes, documentation systems, and staff training programme. Every workshop in the EEK network is audited against NZIFDA's standards. We believe the standard of service customers receive should be verifiable, not just promised. Tier 1 status is our commitment to that principle. Learn more at nzifda.org.
