Misfuel recoveries in Levin
Luisa filled her diesel RAV4 with 91 petrol at the Levin Gull — she'd only had the car a few weeks and the diesel label on the filler hadn't registered. She started the engine, pulled onto Oxford Street, and the car immediately felt wrong. She pulled straight back into the forecourt and called EEK. The RAV4 was towed to the workshop where the manufacturer-spec fuel system recovery, and filter service was done.
“I was so embarrassed but the team were completely unfazed. Said it happens all the time with people in new cars.”
