Supplier Requirements
These are the operational requirements you must adhere to in accordance with the Supplier Terms of Service.
Step-by-step — misfuel / fuel system jobs

Accept via portal
Review the vehicle OEM page and these requirements. Toggle OEM compliance and Supplier Terms before accepting. Do not contact the customer directly.

Arrange collection / tow
Book tow within Supplier Terms response times. Communicate with EEK through the portal or recorded EEK callout lines only. Confirm pickup using portal milestones.

Workshop intake
Customer handover only — customers must not remain at the workshop during remediation, testing, or repair. EEK Mechanical policy; no exceptions without written EEK approval.

Assess the vehicle
Confirm contamination type, whether the engine was started, keys, and OEM access method (access panel vs full tank drop). Document in the portal before invasive work.

Extract contaminated fuel
Use OEM-correct access and approved external extraction equipment. Do not power the fuel pump or use a filler-neck probe or siphon to drain the tank — check the vehicle OEM page on eek.nz for the correct access method.

Clean and inspect the system
Lines, filters, pump, and components per manufacturer specification. Replace parts where OEM or EEK direction requires it.

Reinstall / reassemble
Tank, lines, and panels torqued and secured to OEM standard. No shortcuts on seals, clips, or under-tray fitment.

Fresh fuel flush & function test
Refill with correct grade fuel per job data. Prime, leak-check, run and verify — no misfire, leaks, or warning lights left unresolved.

Dispose of contaminated fuel
Transfer to licensed waste carrier or your documented NZIFDA-approved method. Retention of removed fuel is prohibited. Keep disposal records 7 years.

Invoice, payment, release
Submit buyer-created invoice in the portal with accurate line items and job data. Do not release the vehicle until EEK confirms payment to your nominated account (Supplier Terms Section 5.6).
Required equipment & PPE
- •NZIFDA certification (mandatory — see Supplier Terms Section 7)
- •Approved external fuel extraction and OEM-correct tank access tools
- •Do not use the fuel pump, filler-neck probe, or siphon for evacuation — use OEM-spec access and external extraction tools
- •Anti-static grounding and spill containment for fuel work
- •Closed-toe safety boots (no jandals, sandals, or open footwear on site)
- •Eye protection, chemical-resistant gloves, and workshop-appropriate clothing
- •Fire extinguisher accessible in the work area
- •Towing equipment suitable for the vehicle (dollies/limber when required by OEM)
- •Licensed contaminated-fuel disposal — suppliers must not keep removed fuel
Towing limits
- •Maximum 120 km/h when towing, or the vehicle manufacturer’s lower limit — whichever is less
- •Maximum 3 km tow on dollies/limber, or the distance in the OEM towing guidance — whichever is less
- •Follow the exact towing and recovery procedure on the vehicle’s eek.nz OEM page
- •Do not tow in a way that damages drivetrain, ADAS, or hybrid/high-voltage systems
Communication & customer contact
- •Use the supplier portal Chat and EEK-dispatched messages for all job updates
- •Use the EEK callout bridge when the portal shows a customer call option — calls are recorded for quality and disputes
- •Do not call or text customers directly — unrecorded contact bypasses EEK quality control and is a material breach
- •Respond to EEK and portal messages within 3 hours during active jobs (Supplier Terms Section 5)

You must comply with all applicable legislation in addition to these requirements and your Supplier Terms.

Every job has a manufacturer page on eek.nz (tank access, anti-siphon, capacity, towing notes). You must follow that page for the specific make and model — it overrides general workshop habit.
