Wrong Oil in a Marine Engine
Marine engines are fussy about oil. Running two-stroke premix in a four-stroke, putting gear oil in the crankcase, or using the wrong grade can starve the engine of the right lubrication and cause rapid wear. If you have realised the wrong oil is in, the safest move is to drain and refill to manufacturer spec before running it under load.
